Bring on the Soccer!

Well, we made it through soccer evaluations today! Ryan did a good job and decided to stick with it, despite his declaration this morning when he woke up: "Mom, I don't really wanna do soccer anymore."

His very first kick went into the center of the goal, for 100 points!!

Then he had to run some sprints and they timed him.

On the "cone weave," he was not so hot. He probably didn't know what to do. There were some cones with orange stripes painted around them in a figure 8. He was supposed to kick the ball in & out of the cones. Poor little perfectionist guy, he kept picking up the ball and putting it back on the orange line anytime it rolled off. :)

Then we went inside to turn in the paperwork, choose a uniform size, and fork over the cash. That's were I asked him if he really wanted to do it, and explained how we would be making a promise to show up every week even if we're tired. He said yeah, he wants to do it. It helped that his best buddy Isaac was there too!

Everyone at Arrow Heights was really nice. I think this is gonna be a great experience!
